Respecting Leaders | Kids are responsible for those in authority by following rules and directions as given, leading by example among their peers.
Language | Kids are responsible for the use of appropriate language, avoiding profanity, slurs or degradation of others through verbal and nonverbal communication.
Behavior Towards Others | Kids are responsible for their actions and will not harass, intimidate or bully others.
Illegal Substances | Kids are not permitted to use or be in possession of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, nicotine, vapes or other substances illegal for minors
Weapons | Kids are not permitted to be in possession of weapons during Kids events (e.g. guns, pocket knives, lighters, etc.)
Phone Policy | Kids are expected to not be in possession of their phones during Kid Ministry events.
Dress Code Policy | Kids are expected to wear appropriate clothing that adheres to dress code:
Apparel may not display or promote tobacco, alcohol, controlled substances, or inappropriate language or pictures.
Undergarments must always be covered by outer garments.
Midriffs should always be covered.
No spaghetti strap shirts or dresses. No tank tops.
No short shorts. At a minimum shorts must extend to, or just beyond the student’s fingertips.
No tight fitting or revealing clothing. Leggings are allowed if shirt covers bottom.
Girls may wear dresses/skirts, but they must reach the top of the knee.
Swim Wear
Girls: Please wear one piece suits or tankinis while swimming (pro tip: wear a dark colored tank top over your bikini!)
Guys - Shirt stays on unless we are swimming; please no speedo’s
Property | Kids are responsible for respecting church property, event properties and each other’s property.
Participation | Kids are expected to participate in all scheduled activities during kids events and trips (e.g. meal times, service, games, etc.) and will stay with the group until dismissed by a leader or the event concludes.
Relationships | No Purple or no public displays of affection (PDA) during kids events. At overnight events, children are not allowed to enter into the housing spaces of the opposite sex.
Consequences can include the following:
Conversation with your small group leader
Conversation with the FBC staff & your parent/guardian
Being sent home from an FBC event, with your parents being called to pick you up
Suspension from future FBC Kids events
